A jewel of the pacific northwest

This is my story how Bainbridge Island became an Ecological Island:

Once upon a time there was a jewel of an island in the puget sound named Bainbridge Island.  The people on the Island lived in communion with each other, the birds, squirrels, deer and other wildlife.  The trees on the Island were revered and lived in forests maintained and supported by all the residents.   Forest bathing is common.  Most food was grown on the Island and the transportation and energy systems relied upon solar panels and windmills, but it wasn’t always this way.

Way back in 2024, people realized they were living out of connection with the Earth and made a series of changes that brought about the Island we have today in the year 2040.  The first step was to ….
