Who We Are

We are residents of the Bainbridge Island and Camano Island communities who are concerned for the planet and engaging in grass-roots organizing to make a difference.

We are artists, writers, scientists, economists, visionaries, professors, and former peace corp members.

It is our mission to refrain from thinking of what we should be doing, and move into action – both in thoughts and deeds – to make our planet and humanity a better place.

We hope you will join us on this endeavor.

Why stories?

Looking back from 2040 our stories of how we got to an ecological and sustainable society allows us to visualize what we can do now to make the story a reality. Since the future only unfolds within the present, these stories prompt us to make decisions now to create the future we want.

The stories will be collected from each community and will be judged separately for each community. Our initial two communities are Bainbridge Island, WA and Camano Island, WA.
